Paul McCartney and John Lennon estate celebrate George Harrison’s birthday | Music | Entertainment

George Harrison died 25 years ago at just 58, after losing his battle with cancer and would have turned 83 this week.

Celebrating his incredible life and legacy, Sir Paul McCartney paid tribute to the Quiet Beatle on social media, alongside the John Lennon estate and George’s widow, Olivia Harrison.

The latter shared a special birthday video with a recording of Harrison’s voice saying: “It’s being here now that’s the important thing. Y’know there’s no past and there’s no future. Time is a very misleading thing.”

That’s before his All Things Must Pass track Run of the Mill begins playing over clips of him.

Meanwhile, Sir Paul McCartney shared a snap of himself and Harrison in the recording studio during The Beatles’ days. Macca captioned the photo on Instagram: “Have a great day, it’s George’s birthday – Paul.” Additionally, the John Lennon estate posted a sweet collage of snaps featuring both late Beatles together.
