“Berries are probably the most delicate product, and if not properly stored, they can deteriorate in a day,” she said.

She tested several methods over a period of six months to find which storing hack worked the best. There was one that worked better than the rest.
First, she washes the berries – using raspberries and blueberries for this demonstration – by placing them in a strainer and running water over them. Then she dries them.
She uses a salad spinner to dry them, but they can also just be dried by pressing them with paper towels.

Then she pours the berries in a glass container. She said she used to put down a paper towel before adding in the berries, but now she uses a slotted tray.
“Excess moisture goes down, and the berries do not deform,” she said.
She leaves the container open without a lid, and stores them on the top shelf in the fridge.
