Following the billion-dollar success of Tom Cruise’s Top Gun Maverick, director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are taking on another speedster of a blockbuster.
Brad Pitt, whose salary is reportedly $30 million, stars in the upcoming Formula 1 movie F1 and the first teaser has landed today.
The official synopsis reads: “From Apple Original Films, F1 stars Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid.
“The feature is being shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport.”
The new film is made in collaboration with Formula 1 and the F1 community, including the 10 F1 teams and their drivers, the FIA and race promoters.
The movie co-stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo.
F1 hits cinemas in Summer 2025.
