Brooklyn Uber passenger dies after crawling out window, hits head on Belt Parkway guardrail

An Uber passenger died after he crawled out of a window of the moving SUV on Brooklyn’s Belt Parkway and hit his head on a guardrail, police said Monday.

It is not clear why 43-year-old Rami Elsuwi was trying to get out of the Uber he was riding in, a Hyundai Sante Fe, police said.

The 69-year-old driver of the for-hire vehicle was heading east on the Belt Parkway when Elsuwi climbed out of the right rear passenger window near 92nd St. about 9 p.m. Thursday, cops said.

Elsuwi tumbled out, dying at the scene after hitting his head on a guardrail. He was about a mile from home when he died, according to cops.
