£12.99 product is ‘extremely similar to Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter’ but £26 cheaper

With numerous brands and products to choose from, building a makeup routine can be overwhelming.

It can be difficult to decide whether premium brands are worth investing in or not, so when an affordable product is being compared to an expensive one, it can make it easier to achieve the same looks for less.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter is one of the most-talked-about base products, renowned for the glowy look it adds to the complexion.

However, the premium product costs £39, which is unaffordable for many shoppers, who have found a much cheaper alternative.

The Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Perfector is less of an investment at £12.99, and has over a thousand reviews.

Buy: Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector (£12.99)

The product has a four-in-one formula, with multiple skin benefits, and is lighter coverage than foundation, but can be worn alone for a natural look.

It works to add a glowy and dewy finish to the skin, while also helping to conceal blemishes, highlight, and even out skin tone.

There are currently four shades available on Boots’ website, so the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter does have a more diverse colour range.

Boots is also offering £5 off a £20 spend on Maybelline at the moment, so if you’re looking to top up on any other beauty products from the brand, it could help save money.

Shoppers are calling the product ‘a gamechanger’ that ‘keeps skin dewy and flawless all day’.

Lisamarinara said: ”This was very light on the skin and felt extremely similar to Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. The only thing I was unhappy about was the shade match. I’m typically a medium, but it was very orange on me.”

Chelseagirl21200 commented: ”I’ve seen this around for a while and wanted to try it but usually stick to my brand of many years. I normally buy new products and head straight back to my usual but this came up on offer so I decided to try it and I’m so glad I did! As I’m getting older I’m finding my skin looks dry and cakes with certain foundations which is not a good look or the moisturising ones turn oily but this product is a game-changer! I love it! A little goes a long way, my skin looks dewy and flawless all day. I don’t want full coverage and feel it covers enough for me. The only issue I have is that it was really difficult to get into with the little cellophane thing.”

kyleen9 also added: ”I’ve used CT flawless filter before and this product is super similar. It gives a really pretty glow with sheer coverage, definitely enough for a no-makeup makeup look. I prefer to use it under foundation, in the photo I used this first and then did two drops off Ilia Super Serum foundation on top and it looked awesome and held up great in the 90 degree weather. You could also use powder to bring down the glow in certain areas if it’s too much for you! I used powder on my nose and forehead to avoid any shiny look.”

Some shoppers found it hard to get the right shade match with the limited colour range, so it may be worth trying Elf’s Halo Glow Liquid Filter for more choice.
